Graham William Nash was born on February 2, 1942 in Blackpool, England.

He met Allan Clarke at the Ordsall Primary School in Manchester when they
were both five years old. They quickly became close friends. They first sang
together in the school's choir rendition of The Lord Is My Shepherd. They
were caught up in the skiffle craze and began to perform outside of school.
They adopted a number of names under which they performed. These included
The Two Teens, The Levins, the Guytones (based on the brand of guitar they
used) and the Fourtones.

As they moved from skiffle to rock'n'roll, the duo became entranced with the
harmonies of the Everly Brothers and decided to emulate them. They tried to
pass themselves off now as a brother act - Ricky and Dane Young. It was in
this incarnation that they were approached by Eric Haydock to join the
Deltas. The Deltas soon transformed into the Hollies.

Graham typically sang high harmony and played rhythm guitar. In live
performances, Graham could be seen to be playing his acoustic guitar very
energetically, although it was not plugged in.

In the late 60's, Graham wanted to move the group in another direction while
the others were happy to continue as the band they had always been. The
group turned down a number of Nash's songs (songs that Graham later
performed with Crosby, Stills, and Nash). Things came to a head when Tony
suggested that the Hollies do an album of Dylan covers. Nash left the group
after a performance in a charity concert at the London Palladium on December
8, 1968. He soon joined up with Stephen Stills and David Crosby to perform
Crosby, Stills, and Nash (which, at times, has been Crosby, Stills, Nash,
and Young) .

Graham also has put out a pair of albums with David Crosby. Nash's solo work
includes four albums, the last one being released in 1983.

Graham has re-united with the Hollies on a number of occasions. The first
was to support the Holliedaze dance mix in 1981. The second was for the
album What Goes Around in 1983. Most recently, Graham rejoined the band on
putting together Peggy Sue Got Married for the Buddy Holly tribute album,
Not Fade Away {Remembering Buddy Holly}.

Graham has put together a multimedia presentation titled LifeSighs. This
performance piece, autobiographical in nature, covers his involvement with
the Hollies.
